AUTHOR: Vikram Singh
The book is a classic bollywood story of love.
Raj and Veer are two men from different walks of life and they stumble into each other, and eventually into love one fateful new year's Eve
The story follows the bumps they gave thereon and how they tackle them to be together.
If you're looking for a classic bollywood story, this is it.
It has all the elements- a sort of love triangle, fights, misunderstandings, and then eventual happy ending.
The language is simple, the chapter's are short and the book is a fast paced read
One thing I could not wrap my head around was Raj and his behaviour, he has been written as a toxic, jealous and overpowering guy and I couldn't really understand why Veer after all the red flags I had read, and he had witnessed first hand decided to keep working towards making everything ok
I did enjoy certain parts of the book and Veer's friends were well written.
Topics of homophobia do come up, and readers get a first hand account of them.
The author has really succeeded in highlighting how being gay, or for that matter, being a member of the LGBTQ+ community isn't a sin and shouldn't be treated that way.
