''To absorb everything in the world. But also to escape.''⁣⁣

AUTHOR: Meg Wolitzer⁣

The book starts with Greer, a shy intelligent girl in a local college, she ready to enjoy this experience but something happens, a great boy makes an unwarranted sexual move. When she confides this in friends, to her horror she finds that she's not alone.⁣

Then she meets Faith, who is the kind of person that everyone wants to know and be around, she's a 2nd wave feminist, and has captured Greer's liking.⁣

Reading the book's blurb, I didn't expected what I actually experienced in this book. ⁣

I liked the smaller threads of story that were embedded in this book, the smaller stories, and Meg's stark observations on how the meaning of success can totally change with a sudden loss, on friendship and betrayal, on parenthood, on love and commentary on abortion rights, wage gaps, rape culture and intersectionality in feminism.⁣

The book also gave us short pieces from lived of each character, which vitally changed my opinion of them and I find that amusing⁣

I found that I didn't quite idolize Faith as much by the end of the book as I started out, her character was well intentioned, even heroic but the way she was written, i got the end message well, that nobody can be perfect, and I grew to like Cory and Zoe much more⁣, their personal growth was so wonderful to see.

The ending was pretty fast, and the events felt rather abrupt
